I don’t know if Bitcoin is going to become mainstream but in my opinion that is the direction in which we are heading towards to. Google fiber is rolling out across cities along with Comcast and AT&T Gigabit internet, 5G will soon come to mobile devices, to me it only makes sense to start the switch to bitcoin in order to have faster, better transactions with no 3rd party involved.

Bitcoin is more complicated than this, however, my simple advice is to create a bitcoin wallet through https://www.blockchain.com/ and be prepared if Bitcoin does become more popular. You can also download the blockchain app through ios and android.
